My brief for the livery design of the TEAMSX83 2023 car was to focus on speed, leave space for plenty of sponsors and stickers, and incorporate the Bored Apes in a subtle yet visible way. The car was an Audi R8 GT3 EVO2, competing in the China Endurance Championship in Chengdu.
Working on the development of this design has been one of the most fun and interesting projects I've had in the past few years. I took inspiration from nature and the animal world, and designing the patterns using details from the apes' own design was right up my street. I'm looking forward to working on their next car.
