My name is Jacopo but everyone calls me Jack. I was born in 1983 in a small city in northern Italy, laid on the shores of River Po, at the feet of luxuriant hills on one side and the tall majestic Alps on the other. Turin takes its name from the people who inhabitated the area before the roman invasion, Taurini ( therefore its Latin name Augusta Taurinorum ). The legend says that the Taurini named themselves as such after the Bull ( taurus ) who, drunk on red wine, fought and defeated the dragon which was bringing death and destruction to their land.
I could just tell you my name and surname, what I like, what I do and you probably won't take much away from this page. But I decided to tell you a story.
That is because I think that it's worth taking the time to listen and to tell a good story.
Storytelling is at the core of what I do, whether its through a presentation, an animation or an illustration. Telling you a story is my goal.
I have always been fascinated by the magic box in the living room which showed me illustrated characters coming to life and took me to places which only existed in the realm of imagination.
I never for one second believed as a child that one day I'd be able to have that magical power myself.
