Rillaz began as a creative experiment when Yuga Labs launched the ApeChain website: The gorilla silhouette was instantly iconic. Many many hours later, Rillaz was born through the story of Albarra, cementing itself as one of the early collections on ApeChain.
when i was approached by the folks at lokielabs to develop the "depix" version of their rilla collection i had no hesitations as i got to know them in person and immediately bonded.
The opportunity to develop an ip based upon gorillas seemed like an amazing chance to play with strong, fun and chunky volumes. i always tried to push expressions and see how far i could take the rillaz.
